Research

I’m interested in the Middle Ages and Renaissance literature, in particular around the cultural and literary exchange from the diversity of languages and traditions that coexisted in the Iberian Peninsula. I also have a great interest for Catalan Literature as a whole, especially in the multilingual context of coexistence the rest of Iberian Peninsula literature. On the other hand, I am also interested in exploring the relationship between Journalism, and Literature, in particular around the Spanish civil war, and censorship and propaganda in Spain in the XX century. Lately, I have been working on a critical edition the known translations of the first part of the Book of Angela de Foligno –known as Memorial– in Catalan, studying female mystics from a gender perspective as well as the reception the Umbria saint had in the Catalan culture.

Personal Interest

Besides books and literature, I enjoy photography very much and I love to spend hours taking and editing pictures. I also have always enjoyed creative writing and recently I have developed an interest in cooking.
