Research
I’m interested in literature from female authors showcasing gender violence towards women in modern Mexico. In particular, I’m interested in the social impact of drug cartels in Mexican cities that share a border with the U. S. such as Tijuana and Ciudad Juárez. Lately, I have been working with the monster figure and its representation and use in literature and popular culture.
