Research

I am interested in 20th and 21st century Mexican literature, particularly, the role that racism and classism play in cultural power dynamics. Lately, I have been doing research comparing the representation of contemporary indigenous groups in Mexican literature to indigenous self-representation in the Purepecha oral tradition.
