UCLA’s Department of Spanish and Portuguese is delighted to share the news that Esther Claudio-Moreno recently accepted a postdoctoral position at the University of Iowa. This one-year postdoctoral position is a full-time, twelve-month salaried appointment to participate in the 2022-2023 Mellon Sawyer Seminar on “Racial Reckoning and Social Justice through Comics.” The seminar is hosted by The Obermann Center for Advanced Studies at the University of Iowa and it will include collaboration with scholars and world renowned artists. Esther is scheduled to defend her dissertation on 26 May 2022. Congratulations to Esther and to her advisor, Professor Maite Zubiaurre!
