Research
I’m interested in how nationalistic poetry personifies the border as feminine and how these literary representations intersect with 20th-century performance studies, including dance, to embody cultural and social narratives.
But in my masters, I was interested in challenging prevailing criticisms that dismiss Young Adult literature as simplistic or lacking depth, arguing that contemporary postcolonial post colonial texts offer rich, multidimensional narratives capable of engaging adolescent readers critically and empathetically.
